A classroom is a diverse place one can come across. A teacher has to be very skillful to identify the traits of the students and teach them properly. Each student in a class differs from each others, yet they have to stay in the same classroom being friends with each other. In general, a classroom has the following types of students:

A Questioner

Questions from the learners are definitely very appreciated, but this sort of student asks mostly unnecessary questions. For example, these students ask what is already mentioned clearly in the book. There is a possibility that the teacher has also explained that.

This type of student is basically attention-seekers. They need attention from their teachers no matter what the subject is and what the lesson is about. They ask questions not to resolve their doubts, instead, they try to be seen by the teacher.

An Over-achiever

This type of student is also very common in any classroom. They are basically the top-rankers. They mostly have tutors for most of the subjects. As a result, they have learned the subjects previously and they know almost everything about the chapter from their tuition classes.

They are in the class basically to show that they know everything - sometimes they try to prove that they know even more than the teachers. These over-achievers try to point what the teacher missed to include in the lesson. These types of students try to answer the questions asked in the class before everyone. To be more specific, they want to show their knowledge and answer all the questions.

Introvert Ones

These students are pretty hard to understand - they don’t say a single word in the class. It is really difficult to understand whether they are getting the lesson or not. They don’t even interact with their friends much. As a result, it becomes even more difficult for the teachers to teach them.

On asking questions, these students may answer correctly but they hardly raise hands from their end. They neither take any initiative nor help others. They create a separate world for them and stay in this. Solitary is their preference; however, sometimes they may speak with a few pupils. But their friend circle is limited to those pupils only.
It is not that they are not studious or they are inattentive - they just talk less with others. While answering, they only answer what is being asked - not a single extra word. They sometimes feel reluctant and shy to ask questions. Probably they are scared of getting embarrassed in front of others.

Slow Learners

These students are found almost in all the classes - they struggle to learn almost everything, even the simplest chapters. A slow learner often needs special guidance. In a class, it is sometimes a big deal to offer sp[ecial care to a slow learner. As a result, slow learners leave behind others.

Here, it needs mention that these students are not inattentive or careless. They try to concentrate on the lesson but they are incapable of understanding the lesson as fast as others understand it. Their struggle is real.

With proper guidance and teaching with patience, these students can get excellent results that too in all the subjects. These students also feel reluctant to speak up and they are much concerned about what others will think because of their questions.

Helpers

These students are commonly found in the class. In school as well as in the family, it is always taught that help is the greatest virtue. There are students who come forward to help others. These students are sometimes very studious and sometimes they are just ordinary ones. They help their classmates with notes and sometimes with group study.

Careless and Distracted

These students are least bothered about the class and the lessons. These types of students are commonly found in any class and according to the teachers, they can score much better if they study.

They basically don’t like to study at all - they have different interests. They love to devote themselves to non-classroom activities and chitchat during the class.

Talkative Students

Selfish

These types of students are rarely found in a class. Selfish ones don’t want to share any of their belongings (be it notes or books or water or tiffin) with others.

Conspirator

Conspirators are the mischievous students who fail to keep secrets. They sometimes try to be good to both groups and in doing so they gather information about both groups. Ultimately, these students loss all the friend because of this characteristic.

Criticizer

Criticizers mainly look down upon slow learners and mediocre students. These criticizers judge others on some specific parameters and students not meeting these parameters are subject to criticism.

Having different types of students is a distinct feature of a classroom and a teacher has to deal with this. Teachers need to identify these students and guide them in the correct way by correcting their mistakes.
